Personal profile

Biography

This is Mahbuba Sarker Shama, Senior Lecturer of the Department of English at the World University of Bangladesh. I am currently pursuing my PhD in English Literature at Shoolini University, India. I work as a reviewer in many prestigious UK and Indian journals. I have written book titled Deconstructing Colonialism: African Identity in Achebe’s Trilogy in 2025. Also, my poetry book DISEASED LOVE and short story book  Women's Nest got published.  I have 10 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level as an expert on English Literature, specially on Postcolonialism, Marxism, Cultural Studies, Film Criticism, Gender Studies, Dalit Literature, African Liiterature, African-American Studies as well as Feminist approaches towards Literary texts. I have obtained magna cum laude award in both my grad and postgrad. My  22 research journal articles (17 single author research journal articles and 5 collaborative academic articles) have got published in Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, USA, Nepal, Bulgaria, Romania, UK and Turkey. In addition, I have presented papers at many national conferences in which I have won award as the best Presenter in Nazrul Conference. Furthermore, I have published many Poems, Newspaper editorials, Short Stories and Book Reviews at both national and international platforms.
