MA in English (Final 2 years) To earn the MA in English (Final 2 years), a student must:
  • Requires approximately 72 credit hours in full-time study.
  • Candidates must meet the following requirements: Minimum 2nd Class in BA in English (3/4 years) or CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent. Applicants from any other discipline (without a 3/4-year degree in English) must have 2nd class or CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent.
  • Pass all required courses (no “F” grade allowed for graduation).
MA in English (Final 1 years) To earn the MA in English (Final 1 years), a student must:
  • Requires approximately 42 credit hours in full-time study.
  • Candidates must meet the following requirements: Minimum 2nd Class in BA in English (3/4 years) or CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent. Applicants from any other discipline (without a 3/4-year degree in English) must have 2nd class or CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent.
  • Pass all required courses (no “F” grade allowed for graduation).

The following uniform grading system approved by the UGC for all Universities is applied in the examinations:

The minimum passing grade from one semester to the other is GPA 2.00 (D)

The overall performance of a student will be expressed in terms of Grade Point Average or G.P.A. A student can retake any exam with payment of prescribed fees.
