With over 20 years of experience in English language teaching, A. K. M. Mazharul Islam is making significant contributions to academia through research, teaching, and international collaborations. Holding dual master's degrees—one in English Language Teaching from Dhaka University (2010) and another in English from Rajshahi University (2000) — he brings a wealth of expertise to linguistic studies and language education.
His career spans across prestigious institutions, including King Khalid University in Saudi Arabia (12 years), International Islamic University Chittagong, Dhaka Campus (6 years), and his recent engagement at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Dhaka. His research focuses on language variations, interlanguage phenomena, phonetics, and comparative linguistic studies, with several publications indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, DOAJ, and EBSCO.
As an active member of Bangladesh English Language Teachers' Association (BELTA) and FLT Research Lab, his work extends beyond classrooms to workshops, conferences, and collaborative research efforts.
