Biography
Md. Atik Ullah is a
dedicated English Language Specialist and Lecturer at the World University of
Bangladesh, bringing over six years of professional experience in higher
education, curriculum development, and academic leadership. He holds an MA in
English Language Teaching (ELT) from Jahangirnagar University, a BA in English
from Jagannath University, and a B.Ed. from the Open University of Bangladesh,
supported by a strong academic foundation and a passion for teaching
excellence.
Throughout his career, he
has demonstrated a commitment to innovative and student-centred pedagogy,
integrating modern teaching methodologies, educational technology, and
evidence-based practices into the classroom. He has successfully mentored
numerous students, coordinated departmental activities, and led various
academic and co-curricular initiatives, including events through the World
English Club. His expertise extends to course material development, assessment
design, online teaching, and public speaking training.
As an emerging
researcher, Md. Atik Ullah has authoredĀ Five peer-reviewed journal
articlesĀ focusing on English education, pedagogical challenges, and
literary studies. He has also presentedĀ three papers at
internationalĀ ELT conferences, particularly highlighting the impact of
AI on EFL learning.
He demonstrated
impactful leadership asĀ Department Coordinator (JanāAug 2023)Ā and
served as Convener of theĀ WUB Indoor Intra-University Sports
Championship 2023& 2024. As former Club Coordinator of theĀ World
English Club (WEC), he organizedĀ 10+ flagship events,
significantly enriching the campusās academic and cultural environment.
As a Public Speaking
Instructor,Ā Md. Atik Ullah independently designed and conducted the
Public Speaking Training Programs, aimed at enhancing studentsā confidence,
presentation skills, stage performance, and professional communication. The
program received high student engagement and strengthened institutionās
commitment to soft-skill development, leadership grooming, and career
readiness.
Certified in TESOL and
21st-century employability skills, he is enthusiastic about enhancing learnersā
communication skills and preparing them for global opportunities. He is
well-versed in MS Office applications, SPSS, digital learning platforms, and
academic research tools. With strong leadership qualities, a collaborative
mindset, and a passion for student development, he continues to contribute to
academic innovation and institutional growth.
